As someone that hasn't believed in god since realizing Santa wasn't real, just how do you explain my position concerning the need for a government that better serves its people?
The term spiritual is invalid cause it can mean anything. A word that can mean anything means nothing
Tens of millions of Americans were living on the brink of survival even before the pandemic & now they live in Great Depression level need. That their suffering is a political football rather than reason for immediate aid is a sign of the spiritual poverty that has beset America.

To you it means nothing but to many of us it means everything. Spirituality is the path of the heart. To say our government is out of spiritual alignment is to say that it isn’t guided by the path of the heart. And it should be. Conscience and ethics belong everywhere.
