This ... Prop22 ... is putting more money into the hands of the corporations ... and not into the hands of the drivers ... and many of these drivers ... (acting form fear) ... are afraid to ask for benefits!

No, gig workers should not be forced to be classified as employees if they don't want to be. By imposing AB5 on them, you are taking away their right to determine their own working conditions and destinies. #YesOnProp22

They’re independent contractor ls and should be able to be so. I’m shocked you’re for this. 💚

Hi Marianne, and anyone else reading this: As I understand it, Prop 22 only affects Lyft, Uber, and DoorDash, right? It would give them “some” benefits if passed, which is good, I would think. But, what about all other gig workers? I am a musician and I don’t...

...think that this necessarily affects me, BUT AB5 complicates my line of work tremendously. Can someone help me understand how this is related to AB5 and/or if anything will happen to AB5 if Prop 22 passes? Thank you!

Vote to help gig workers but let’s understand this is merely a patch on a broken system. People shouldn’t be forced to depend on corporations for “benefits” that are in fact essentials for staying alive. It’s time for #M4A and #UBI.
