Uh, slavery was allowed. Slaves were considered 3/5 of a human being. And women could not vote. Yes, the Constitution DOES change over time!

Amy Coney Barrett on originalism: "That means that I interpret the Constitution as a law... I understand it to have the meaning that it had at the time people ratified it. That meaning doesn't change over time and it's not up to me to update it or infuse my policy views into it."

No we do not need a new Constitution. We need to adhere to the one we have more closely if anything. We do need a constitutional amendment to provide public funding for federal campaign, and we should pass the Equal Rights amendment.

We don’t need a new constitution, you are seeking to have an amendment. There is a difference. And there’s also process to make an amendment.

What do you mean “we should pass the equal rights amendment”? ERA has already been passed & ratified. #Women need you to PUBLISH the already ratified ERA bc Biden & Trump refused. Will you acknowledge that ERA is already valid? Will you get it PUBLISHED & put IN the Constitution?

It's a little late in the election cycle to come out against the ACA, the EPA, the Dept of Ed, et al. Too bad you didn't do it sooner.

We need a few more Constitutional Amendments than those. 1) Federal Job Guarantee. - You can't be free and not have secure and sufficient income. 2) Right to criminal and civil legal representation. - You can't have a nation of laws but restrict access to lawyers by $.

That's fucking idiotic and I refuse to believe you don't understand the amendment process. The amendment process was included in order to change things that we didn't like. It does not fall to judges or justices to replace the amendment process.

But that’s probably even further back on the list now that Trump has pretty much assured Mrs America is Phyllis Schlafly clone as the new Supreme Court justice with her narrow thinking and aspirations of if greatness, where none exists.

Wait... you’re complaining that she said we should adhere to the constitution, and your solution to the problem of ACB, is that we should adhere more closely to the constitution? Are you being obtuse? Is it deliberate?
