Uh, slavery was allowed. Slaves were considered 3/5 of a human being. And women could not vote. Yes, the Constitution DOES change over time!

Yet again the old three-fifths canard. The constitution does not say black people are three-fifths of a person. The slavers wanted to count all slaves and the anti-slavery colonies didn’t want to count them at all. Actually think about why and you may learn something. 🤦‍♂️
