Most “opportunity zones” become an opportunity to exploit the neighborhoods where they’re crested. They’re opportunity for forces of gentrification to come into underprivileged neighborhoods, exploit them for financial gain & siphon the wealth created back out of the neighborhood

Yup and most of the money used for "opportunity zones" end up going to independent contractors' wallet
