You said it, Bernie.
On #PrimeDay, let's not forget. During the pandemic, Jeff Bezos became $97 billion richer by increasing prices by up to 1,000% on essential items and denying hazard pay and paid sick leave to over 450,000 of his workers. It's time to break up Amazon and tax the rich.

It's not a zero-sum game. You're being silly.

Ppl wouldn’t stop buying shit, I can’t get mad at Bezos. Also he didn’t become richer Amazon did. We’ve gotta stop with this rhetoric.

I wonder if the public would get behind outlawing billionaires until homelessness and poverty are eliminated.

Or should We the People buy out Bezos, crown him as Capitaliat extraordinaire, and redesign Amazon ala FJG principles? He already put in the work - can we run it as a public utility? Seems our stimulus checks trickled up to Bezos. Time to change the rules.

Bezos' wealth is obscene, but let's not conflate it with the practices of Amazon. His wealth comes from stock value. It would have done the exact same if he had tripled pay. Wealth rises as long as there is wealth tax. Pointing out how Amazon is successful won't convince people.

So let me do the math. If something cost $1, then the new price would be $10? Why would someone buy that? I think Bernie is making stuff up.

I wish we could have had Obama/Biden in office for 8 years so they could have put a stop to this
