I still believe in markets. Markets do not fail us. We fail markets.

You have got to be kidding. Even Milton Friedman said we needed a UBI to make trickle down economics safe and ethical.

UBI encourages people to better themselves, unlike welfare which punishes those who try to work. The fact that UBI is universal would prevent cuts to it. Yang said it would stack with current programs, but if it didn't, and was tied to inflation, UBI would be better than welfare.

I didn't agree with Yang on everything. Itʻs disingenuous to say that UBI would replace healthcare, schools, or housing. How does anti-trust have anything to do with that? Welfare is shut up take the check, don't work or go to school, else lose it, serfdom.

UNI treats the symptom but not the cause. It’s an important Band-Aid and we need it, but it’s still a Band-Aid. If we don’t address the deeper issue then one symptom will just morph into another one.

We should not be starting our efforts on a UBI. Temp $ to people during a crisis is a separate matter. Get #Med4all, #GreenNewDeal, #JobGuarantee, expanded SS,free public college & trade school & affordable housing. Then I will B happy to discuss UBI.
