It’s not enough for our elected representatives to only hear from us every two or four years, when they’re hearing from corporate lobbyists all day every day.

It seems horribly unjust that Amazon drivers, InstaCart workers, and Door Dash delivery people are subjected to constant customer reviews (so stressful), but voters have no way to rate members of Congress, who make $174,000 per year, on a frequent basis.

And if they hear, they don't bother to listen. I guess why they are working so hard to not even be bothered every four years.
I put this on politicians, not citizens They're supposed to be working for us but are instead working for the 1%

We cannot outspend our politicians' donors. The only leverage we have is fear.
This is as bullshit take. Most people don't have the time to constantly tell representatives to represent them. We're fucking working. If we have to do our job and their job why are they collecting the $174,000 a year to ignore policies the majority of their constituents want?

I have said similar things myself for years. How does our single vote every 2, 4 or 6 years even matter when our "representatives" are #dialingdonorsfordollars from 4-6 hrs/day, and typically fundraisers at night? 1/2

That gives the donors exponentially more (not exactly)"free speech" than we could ever hope for. And massively warps the entire system of government out of whack for our purposes, but it works great for those with the power of money. 2/2
