LOL I do not do other peoples research. If they don't know about Google then pffft! That is exactly what I tell them. "Join the public and collect public information for yourself!" LMAO

The problem with the telling people to "Google" things is that Google also leads to Fox news and Breitbart and Infowars, and not just the sources that you're thinking of when you tell them that...

This is true, but "go Google it" is still no recipe for combatting misinformation. If they're the type who usually consumes those sources Google is just going to serve up more of the same. Stupid has very little to do with it, a tea bag steeps in the water it's in.

But I didn't say "Go google it." I said to go do the research yourself and then put it online. I guess we're saying the same thing.

They are not "stupid" but the complexity of politics makes their eyes gloss over and their brains hurt.
