The undue influence of money on our politics is the cancer underlying all the other cancers. With the current SCOTUS we won’t be able to overturn Citizens United anytime soon, but we need to work towards a Constitutional amendment to establish public funding for federal campaigns

In an economy where everything can be bought and sold, money in politics is not an anomaly. It is a product of the economic system. Until we deal with the mechanics of the economy we can’t ever expect money to get out of politics.
