No it isn't he's right. Imagine what the opposite would sound like: "Liberty, peace and prosperity aren't the objective. Democracy is. Liberty and peace can thwart that." THAT'S terrifying.

The right wing has to downplay democracy because they know the majority popular vote isn't with them. That is why they are forever reminding you we live in a republic, not a democracy.
