I've caught myself Mansplaining before. The only part that was sexist was that I did it in part to protect the woman, subconsciously. There are only a few men that actually interrupt on the regular to "be the man". The majority of what you see is simply biology. Men <> Women.

I generally agree. The problem is she's already dug herself a bit of a hole where the tactics used and differences of opinion can be easily dismissed because, "it was a debate." She can't articulate an issue with his conduct without at least seeming like a hypocrite.
