1/ Imagine if we had a presidential candidate saying “Yep it’s true. We’re going to give you free healthcare. We’re going to pass a Green New Deal. We’re going to make college tuition free for everyone. We’re going to cancel all your college loans.”

2/ And when people asked “But how are we going to pay for all that?” the candidate would say “By taxing the segment of people whose tax cuts and corporate subsidies have amounted to the biggest transfer of wealth in our history over the last 40 years.”

The problem is Democrats have promised that forever and guess who gets taxed, the middle class. Happens all the time everytime but apparently their is are a number of people who have a bad memory or too ignorant to know the reality.

Imagine a voter base dumb enough to believe that could be supported with tax cuts. I can’t imagine that lying politicians wouldn’t take advantage of people that stupid

Your 1st tweet was fantastic: yes! Our govt should fund all of that. But please stop perpetuating the myth of needing taxes to pay for programs. THE FEDERAL GOVT DOES NOT PAY FOR ANYTHING WITH TAX DOLLARS. Please reach out to Bernie Sanders’ economic adviser @StephanieKelton.

And....if you subscribe to MMT as @StephanieKelton writes about in The Deficit Myth you would know you can tax the most wealthy, close loopholes AND the federal government can pay for "all that"!

And Jill Stein also not only wanted the rich taxed, she wanted the US military budget reduced by over half.

I work for university & fundraised for them. The greatest transfer of wealth is from aging baby boomers preparing to pass it to their kids. Many are regular working folks who didn’t earn it through tax cuts/corp subsidies. They worked/saved for many years. The plan is flawed.
