1/ Imagine if we had a presidential candidate saying “Yep it’s true. We’re going to give you free healthcare. We’re going to pass a Green New Deal. We’re going to make college tuition free for everyone. We’re going to cancel all your college loans.”

2/ And when people asked “But how are we going to pay for all that?” the candidate would say “By taxing the segment of people whose tax cuts and corporate subsidies have amounted to the biggest transfer of wealth in our history over the last 40 years.”

No, nonsense, taxes don't "pay for" anything. Universal healthcare will pay for a lot of other things. Some policies associated with the GND will pay for others, and there are plenty of easy pay-fors to cover the rest. Free college can help pay for certain other policies.

Even if you taxed them at 100% it wouldn't be able to pay for all this "free" shit have you not read anything about the total cost of each of those things on your free list?

I’m not demonizing the rich; I’m calling out an unjust system that makes it too easy for a few to get richer and too hard for too many to even survive. And many rich people agree. A righteous person doesn’t want to create wealth at the expense of someone else having a chance to.
