1/ Imagine if we had a presidential candidate saying “Yep it’s true. We’re going to give you free healthcare. We’re going to pass a Green New Deal. We’re going to make college tuition free for everyone. We’re going to cancel all your college loans.”

2/ And when people asked “But how are we going to pay for all that?” the candidate would say “By taxing the segment of people whose tax cuts and corporate subsidies have amounted to the biggest transfer of wealth in our history over the last 40 years.”

I think it’d take starting a whole new party. How do we make that a thing that can actually win an election though? Seems almost impossible.

Yep - we’d have that had the 2016 and 2020 primaries been a fair representation of democracy rather then the dog and pony show joke they have become.

unfortunately, it isn't in the dem/rep party!
Bernie did that. Instead of running against him I wish you’d have just endorsed and campaigned for him.

Yeah that's happened a few times already, and that candidate couldn't make it out of the primaries.

Yup, much easier to just take the morally superior position, than to run away from it and keep having to defend an indefensible position.

We had that candidate. He woulda won but for the Big Blue Machine designed to crush genuine alternatives to war and empire.

One question. Is it ok or moral for me to rob you? Guessing you might say no. Now what if there’s five of us in the room and 3 of us vote to rob the other 2? Moral?
