“A government of the people, by the people and for the people has become a government of a few of the people, by a few of the people and for a few of the people… It’s time for the people to step in.”

Cut it out, Marianne. It NEVER - not even from the first day - was "a government of the people, by the people and for the people." Surely, you cannot possibly be THAT naive.

No I am not naïve. But I know there was a time when people took it more seriously than they do now that it’s supposed to be. 600,000 people died in the Civil War; it’s not like there weren’t some very courageous people trying to make it so. We’re not the first generation to care.

It's also a little naive to think that taking it seriously will change anything. Almost everyone I know takes it seriously and they're at their wit's end because there are no official mechanisms that can be utilized to change this rapacious oligarchy masquerading as a democracy.

During the Civil War hundreds of thousands of people gave their lives to make it better. Too many of the people who say they’re at their wits’ end now have never truly struggled to make the changes that other generations made. We need to toughen up, I think. We have a lot to do.

Most of those 600,000 who would not have been on those killing fields if they weren't drafted against their will. (Death penalty for refusing). This election/selection is between Satan & Lucifer. Which devil shall we vote for?
