Yes, please. And Election Day should be a national holiday (probably best to make it a two-day process to ensure everyone has a chance to cast their vote).
The entire voter registration phenomenon is unnecessary; every American citizen should just be automatically registered on their 18th birthday (and we should lower the voting age).
