I'm all for lowering the voting age, provided every child from grade school through college gets a good, ongoing civic education first. And throw in how to defend themselves against Internet excesses so they learn to differentiate fact from fiction.

Boy, do I agree. We can un-register if we like, but this would really prevent a some Election fraud from the GOP.

Yeah, voting age should be 16, and everyone should automatically be registered when they get any sort of picture ID, and they should get a simple application in the mail if they’re not register by the first election they’re old enough to vote in.

We must raise the voting age to at least 25. If you can’t be trusted to rent a car, you definitely shouldn’t be able to choose how much money gets confiscated from my measly paycheck so rich guys can drop bombs on poor brown people 10k miles away.

I agree with you on many things. However, not this time. Registration should occur at age 18 and again whenever someone moves or decides to change political parties. Also, we should not lower the voting age. Eighteen is low enough.

Yes!!! Automate the whole process. The government should have the responsibility of keeping an accurate list of who can vote, and mail in ballots should be automatically sent to all eligible voters. Oregon hit 70% turnout with those two reforms.

@greggo1685 It used to be 21 - but lowered to 18 since that's the age you could be forced to enlist.

Also why the F is voting on a Tuesday. Make it a national holiday / have it for 2 days and maybe on a weekend day.
