The entire voter registration phenomenon is unnecessary; every American citizen should just be automatically registered on their 18th birthday (and we should lower the voting age).

I agree with automatic registration, not lowering the voting age.

Automatically registered to vote, but don't lower the voting age.

Can we just discuss how random all the age limits are? Here in CA, 14 & 15 year olds can work with permission from parent and school. 16 year olds can endanger their lives by driving. None of these people can vote. At 18 they can go to war, but they can only drink legally on...

in my country it was lowered to 16 just as I turned 16 & I remember everyone my age being more aware of politics/political parties etc than most older ppl. Partly bc we JUST learned about em in school, so ofc we knew the policies etc & voted more based on those, not tradition

I think the age should be 17. Why? Because people like me who have payed taxes and don't get a say in this election because I turn 18 in December. At the very least, they should make it so you can vote if you turn 18 withing the year of the election (so by December 31 this year)

turn 18, registering to vote is completely optional, but you *better* be registered for the draft. What a wacky country we live in

When I told my friends in Poland that we have to register to vote their response was “and USA tries to tell us about democracy?!”
