His taking a joyride with Secret Service & other aides in an airtight car with him would be like my having Covid & saying to people who work for me “Come in the car with me cuz it might increase book sales.” Not saying this to demean him; saying it to point out he does. not. care

No, it’s not the same. It was not a ‘joyride,’ and you know this. With all due respect to you, Marianne - he’s the President, and you aren’t - like him or not. Him making a public appearance right now does more for national morale overall than it would if you or I did so.
