Why would we be bailing out an airlines if they’re firing their workers anyway? The trillions of bailout dollars should have gone directly to people in the form of #DirectCashRelief. What are the woman in this video & tens of millions like her supposed to do now, @senatemajldr ?
Flight attendants across the country this week give tearful goodbyes on their final flights as more than 40,000 airline employees are furloughed today.

It seems the U.S. government (both parties) haven’t quite figured out how to construct bailouts that accomplish the goals they want them to. Maybe we can learn some lessons from the past.
Because keeping crew and maintainers current, qualified requires they be on job. Company can't pay them without customers. Airline collapse reduces customer choice, competition, and results in fewer jobs as pandemic wanes. Slower economic recovery. Cheap and effective this way

It makes no sense at all to pump more $ into a business that has no business; what will these people be doing aside from sitting around collecting taxpayer $?

That money would have been better spent and lasted the entire pandemic if it has gone directly to the people.

We didn't bail out the Airlines! The Airlines are going bankrupt and they are laying off thousands! The #HeroesAct was the solution but trumpy and McConnell rather bail out their billionaire paymasters!

And we have tickets that they wouldn't refund. They gave us vouchers that have expiration dates. WTF?

And it looks like they are resorting to masking tape to hold the windows shut, as well!
