Trump lavishes praise on evil unfit men who do not deserve it. Trump does this because he wants to get praise he does not deserve in return. And Trump's willingness to overlook their crimes, their violence, their lack of ethics is his only currency. Trump is morally bankrupt.
Yes, & the actual Army was furious re that pardon. Every member of Gallagher’s unit testified against him. 45’s pardon dishonored those soldiers & the ancestral moral imperative of the Laws of War. (& yes, I get that that is a bizarre framework for many civilians.)
