When you have a problem it helps to imagine who you’d have to be to be big enough to handle it. Think about who we have to be as Americans to survive these wounded and wounding times and initiate a season of repair.

For me: we need to be more collaborative. Many benefits, if viewed as collective rewards, can be pursued collectively. If the desire to seek out individual praise can be replaced with the need to share credit, we'll stop fighting each other and instead fight our common problems.
