No. Every generation has an opportunity to acknowledge and honor the One who created the skies and seas. Although ancestral culture is passed down, the issues of the way, the truth, and the life must be sought and received by each person individually.

My family tree is full of racist monsters and abusive preachers — I did the research to know which ancestral patterns and curses and spirits to work against and break and flip off in my craft. If they’re screaming at me it’s because I’m not continuing their hateful lineage.
