When this nightmare is over we’ll need to guarantee 3 things to make sure it never happens again: that 1) every American child learn civics, 2) every citizen has enough economic opportunity to thrive, and 3) we take the money out of politics and return government to the people.

I think we also need to teach kids how to properly research, what a proper source is, what bias is, and how to distinguish between facts and bullshit.

Yes. And theoretically that’s what any good education would do.

You’d think so. I know I didn’t really learn how to research, beyond a primary or secondary source, until college, when I took research methods. This is a course that should be standard in high school.
