It’s a really good idea to read up on American history right now. It’s deeply empowering to know where we’ve been, in order to have a deeper understanding of where we are and what we need to do going forward. Each of us has to take it on ourselves to be leaders in a new era now.

Wanting to let you know that one of the first books that changed my life was "A Return to Love" it was literally life altering. I read it when I was in my late 20s and suffering from hopelessness. 26 years later I get to thank you for writing it. You have touched many hearts ♥️

Yes. History shows we tend toward greater humanity & justice. Women now vote & hold office. Legal segregation has ended in the south. Racial injustice is more widely recognized. Most see that Climate Change is real. But continuing this progress takes our committed efforts.

I’ve been reading so much history, listening to podcasts (Hope Through History w @jmeacham, @gaslitnation) and am reading Caste by @Isabelwilkerson right now. Also finished @sarahkendzior’s Hiding in Plain Sight, which is a history of tRump from 1980 + I highly recommend. #Vote

Our 1st amendment is under attack. Journalism is not espionage. #FreeJulianAssange I know you have spoken on his behalf before and that’s great but he is in a glass box in a courtroom right now and needs all of our voices RIGHT NOW. And everyday until he is freed!
