When this nightmare is over we’ll need to guarantee 3 things to make sure it never happens again: that 1) every American child learn civics, 2) every citizen has enough economic opportunity to thrive, and 3) we take the money out of politics and return government to the people.

In Australia voting is compulsory; I wouldn’t have a problem with that. But right now I’m more concerned with making sure that people who want to vote can vote, and that we know their votes are counted.
