So strange how many people resist someone telling them that they deserve more, particularly given that the money is from taxes that they themselves paid. People have been brainwashed to expect - even to want, in some perverse way - less rather than more from their government.

Why not just skip the middle man and let them keep their money and get the things they want, for themselves.

Because an individual cannot supply all the things they need for themselves. Healthcare, education, environmental protection etc. must be paid for at least in part by the federal government.

"particularly given that the money is from taxes that they themselves paid" If this is actually the case then they could buy those things. If not, then it is just an excuse for wealth redistribution via services.

"must be paid for at least in part by the federal government" Why not local government? Why not only by the individuals who use the services? The federal government doesn't "pay" for anything, without taking from private individuals.

Why can't it be like a health club? People who wants to join could join and pay dues. They are taken cared of when they get sick of get old. People who don't want to join just don't join. 🐣

They can’t provide because the government takes and the rules prevent us from prosperity. The government is prosperity killer

They can if it was affordable. It's not a right. Its first world problems. Not saying I wouldn't welcome help but let's call a spade a spade. Who's allowing it to cost so much? Who's allowing businesses to charge what they want, giving tax breaks etc...oh ya...the government
