So strange how many people resist someone telling them that they deserve more, particularly given that the money is from taxes that they themselves paid. People have been brainwashed to expect - even to want, in some perverse way - less rather than more from their government.

Long-time American ethic=pull yourself up by your bootstraps. Do it all by yourself. No govt hand-outs. This is the cry of most in US. Yet GOP routinely reward their donors with subsidies, lowered taxes & corporate welfare to eliminate risks in the marketplace. Invisible

Sadly, the brains being washed make it all too easy. No interest in changing education so it increases the average IQ by 15 or 20 points. It's totally doable. And the wealthy have been doing it for their kids. Hmm ... wonder why it's not good enough for ordinary people's kids?

We the people have no idea we OWN the commons. Cultural and natural resources, air, water, habitable earth. Corporations use our public broadcasting air ways and do not pay us rent. We are not fighting for our rights, we are owners protecting our property from thieves.
