So strange how many people resist someone telling them that they deserve more, particularly given that the money is from taxes that they themselves paid. People have been brainwashed to expect - even to want, in some perverse way - less rather than more from their government.

Even stranger that congress passed the tax laws they now decry

People are extremely "funny" about receiving money - there is a huge disconnect in the mindset of most people - if you try an experiment just randomly giving regular people money - simply because you feel like passing along fun funds the vast majority will refuse to receive

States don’t have ability to issue currency so they are dependent on state taxes + help from fed gov. Fed gov doesn’t use or require fed taxes to pay for anything. At fed level $ gets created when congress authorizes the spending. Important difference.

Fed taxes do play a critical role in our economy. Just not in the way we’ve been led to believe.

I wonder if they equate assistance with control, like if they expect and accept more from the government then that can be used as some type of leverage against them?

I was astounded with the insight that the average person suffers from Stockholm syndrome and buys the gaslighting that oppresses them. We need a healing transformation of emotional intelligence in the world ☮️💞🦋

99% of Americans pay all the taxes the 1% can avoid. Yet the 1% cannot operate without using and benefiting from public infrastructure and other public facilities that revenue from taxation provides and funds. How warped is that? Tax dodgers aren't patriots. They're parasites.

I just want a government that works for the betterment of its people ... the way a government is supposed to work. For some reason, that’s too damn much to ask.

Why should we expect more from our government? They literally gave us crumbs to survive in a middle of a pandemic, that shows us they don’t care about their citizens.

You are trying to overcome decades of indoctrination in the few short minutes when you may occasionally capture their undivided, persuadable attention. I’ve had to do it. It’s a Herculean effort. All I can say is keep at it.
