I too was once a high school student in Houston. We should lower the voting age to 17, possibly to 16. Public policies will affect them for a lot longer than they will affect us. And at this point the kids are smarter.

OMG! 16 year olds are not close to being ready to vote. I know what I was like at 16, I know what my kids were like at 16, and I know what kids today are like at 16. Dems keep pushing it because they think they are impressionable, uninformed, and will vote Democratic. #BadIdea

They’re the ones at risk of literally losing their lives partly because of NRA influence on Congress. They’re the ones wondering if they shoujd even have children given the state of the environment. THEIR brains aren’t developed enough? Clearly OUR brains aren’t developed enough!
