Amy Barrett being Catholic is a good thing; Joe Biden is a Catholic too. Republicans are trying to make it as though the Left is criticizing her Catholicism but it’s not true. It’s the repressive tenets of the “People of Praise” sect she belongs to that are genuinely concerning.

Marianne, I’m friends with many members of the People of Praise, and I can tell you, although they are problematic, there’s nothing more scary about them that any other Christian group. Contrary to what others have stated, they are not a “cult.”
