Amy Barrett being Catholic is a good thing; Joe Biden is a Catholic too. Republicans are trying to make it as though the Left is criticizing her Catholicism but it’s not true. It’s the repressive tenets of the “People of Praise” sect she belongs to that are genuinely concerning.

Yep. She is so “repressed” that she was a Supreme Court clerk, a law professor, a Seventh Circuit Judge, and (soon) a Supreme Court Justice. Given your admitted background of drug abuse, failed psychotherapy, nervous breakdowns, etc, you should take a pass on this one.

The U.S. is a bit more than 20% Roman Catholic, but the Supreme Court would become two-thirds Catholic if Amy Coney Barrett is nominated and confirmed. At the same time, Joe Biden would become only the second Catholic president if he is elected. apne.ws/WimfbNJ

It’s also the fear that she will not separate her personal and perhaps extreme religious beliefs when ruling as a member of the SCOTUS

Separation of church and state. Period end of story!

That and her actual rulings from the bench. And her hypocrisy.

Then they should say that and not talk about her kids, her adoption of them, her ability to be a good mother or her religion. I dont disagree with you but the left is not as kind as you are

The GOP can say whatever they like, we're beyond the point of civil critique & discourse. It needs to be understood: ACB is extraordinarily dangerous. Thread/
I was a student at the University of Notre Dame Law School while Amy Coney Barrett was a professor.

Being religious is never a good thing, it means you've been brainwashed.

77% of the Supreme Court will be Catholic / raised Catholic. 22% of Americans are Catholic. The idea that Catholics aren’t represented on the Supreme Court is pretty funny.
