Amy Barrett being Catholic is a good thing; Joe Biden is a Catholic too. Republicans are trying to make it as though the Left is criticizing her Catholicism but it’s not true. It’s the repressive tenets of the “People of Praise” sect she belongs to that are genuinely concerning.

Joe Biden’s Catholicism does not inform his political values. His Catholicism is watered down by his secularism. The idea is that religion is political and is not confined to be trapped in your home. Religious movements have always been political. Jesus did take on Rome.
