This is revolting. Amy Coney Barrett AND Brett Kavanaugh, and John Roberts all helped George W. Bush stop the 2000 recount in his battle against Al Gore, an election decided by 537 votes in Florida. 1/
Jenny, on what grounds do they stop counting votes please? Like, the electorals vote on 12/14, (i think), so how likely is it for all votes to be counted in 6 weeks? Is that why they stopped before, and are there other reasons they could ask the court to stop counting?
Thereβs no basis for believing that in response to 9/11 Gore wouldβve attacked a country that had nothing to do with 9/11 and that had no ties to Al Qeda. That was a neocon vision from before 911; it was nothing Gore would have supported.
