Just as there’s a special criminal category for violent assault that’s an expression of bigotry (hate crime), there should be a special category for violent assault (such as driving car into a crowd of protestors) that’s intended as a direct effort to suppress peaceable assembly.

They have sidewalks to protest peacefully, pedestrians don’t belong on highways. Obstructing traffic is not peaceful. Its tragic but understood why some will get rolled over.

The goal is to get your message heard foster a climate of unity to create the changes, blocking traffic creates havoc and divides this nation, nothing gained.

Yes. Unless they pull permits and give the community notice so they know we’re to avoid. Spontaneously taking over a street. Then victim blaming drivers who have no idea this street was taken over who are trying to get home or to work.
