What does it matter that the 1st amendment gives us “freedom to peaceably assemble” if anytime they want to the police have a right to tell peaceful protesters they “must now disperse?” Because inconveniences you?? Inconveniencing you is the only way people feel they can be heard

I hope you are noticing tonight that these are not peaceful assemblies. This is chaos, to try and scare those of us, that do follow the rules, to vote a certain way.

There are peaceful protests all over the country. Ever since this began, 93% of the protesting has been peaceful. And we don’t even know who the violent protesters are or where they actually came from. Fox News edits the way Fox News wants to edit.

I love you @marwilliamson and there certainly are peaceful protests happening but maybe you haven’t been to one that isn’t peaceful, and you don’t realize that rioters are using people like you to burn, loot and assault others. Comments like these don’t help.

I don’t watch the news, and certainly would never watch Fox. That’s a strange assumption. I live in Portland. It was peaceful the first 2 weeks. Now it’s a nuisance, violent, and destructive.

People who swarm onto, and try to block interstate highways are violent revolutionaries, not any kind of legitimate peaceful protestors. They also are wannabe speed bumps if the wrong motorist sees them—or fails to see them in time.

And you don't think cnn doesn't? I see it on both sides, but the left and the mainstream media are gas lighting the hell out of America. Most police officers are good. We need law and order. Two sides to love. You may not like Trumps pres style but we're not safe with the left.

Thank you Marianne. Also I forgot what the exact numbers are but it has been calculated this has been the largest protest EVER in US history. Furthermore, even if a protest "turns violent" there is no such thing as group responsibility for the protestors. FOX misrepresents it.

I love and listen to you. Im also a small business owner. If the protesters had a 7% chance of destroying my business. Which destroys my family and me as a person. My employees, my customers. I encourage them to be present and to make them disperse if their not peaceful
