The closure of rural hospitals is a huge issue around the country, and politicians getting away with doing nothing about it is unacceptable. Hats off to @harrisonjaime for making it an issue. I hope he wins.
When a rural hospital closes, the nearest emergency room might go from being 15 minutes away to 45 minutes. That could be a death sentence.
We've had 4 of these hospitals close in SC in the past decade and @LindseyGrahamSC hasn't done a thing about it.
