First we sent children back to school without any guarantee of their safety or serious resources given to procuring it. Then, so as not to hold itself accountable, the govt isn’t even doing a nationwide monitoring of cases. Sadly this is typical of how America treats its children
Thousands of coronavirus cases have already been linked to U.S. schools. But more than a month after the first school districts welcomed students back for in-person instruction, it’s nearly impossible to tally a precise figure. Here's why. nyti.ms/2FIW5Xu

People born with wealth & power are very often immune to the empathy needed to recognize the humanity of the vulnerable. Now it's combined with affiliation to a political party that eschews facts in favor of dogma. No wonder our Country has failed to meet the moment here. 😞

I just found out my hometown, population ~2,000 had 4 students test positive & had to close the schools. Meanwhile, I've been working in Vietnam and Thailand, & both of these developing nations have it under control.
