Here’s a brilliant riff from George Carlin. Some people will feel this video is a bit obscene, but what’s really obscene is the nature of the reality he describes all too well.

I read some comments and people have a point that this is too skewed towards Trump. I can see that now...but I also think there’s a bigger point being made. So unless people tell me I should take it down and it sounds convincing, I’m going to keep it up.

Kelly Carlin, speaking about her father: “He hated the politicians who favored profit/property over people. He loathed Trump. He stood for EVERYTHING my father railed against. He saw democracy as a failed experiment due to their greed.” So I think we’re okay.

Carlin's (formerly pertinent/relevant, if obvious, even then) 'routine' is well over 20 years old by this late date; we could use some new cliches, if you don't mind, as social back-tracking is just that, back-tracking, thereby regressive by definition.

George Carlin did his riff on The American Dream in 2005. Way before this latest debacle!

the problem with this video is it just highlights shitty republican politicians -- the whole point is that you don't have a meaningful choice *regardless* of party. So, the riff is valuable, but the video is not representative.

I have quoted that bit since he first did it. Yes bad language but so spot on that the video of just some of our recent days fit perfectly. The answer is #WakeUpAmerica #VOTE like your life depends on it cause it does.

Some of us knew this to be true back when Carlin said it years ago. We also knew that he was talking about BOTH parties. We are the children in a horrible divorce custody case. We are there for their whims. They revel in our lives being games.

I mean the audio is great, but the video is missing the Democratic party.

What’s been done to the people is what’s obscene.
