If you spend too much time eating junk food it creates an appetite for healthy food. If you read only trashy magazines it creates an appetite for literature. If you see too much crass unjust disgusting undemocratic political behavior it creates an appetite for peaceful revolution

"If you spend too much time eating junk food it creates an appetite for healthy food." Ummm, that's demonstrably false. The opposite is true. Millions of dollars are spent to made junk food that keeps you eating junk food. I like your approach, but that's just wrong.

Not me. If I’ve been eating candy bars for too long all I want is broccoli.

I have not seen the examples. People like their big gulps and Kardashians. Not me but I don't think those people are aching for my broccoli and Proust. People who believe Maddows Russiagate lies are comforted by her. Not many people push past their bias to explore that I've seen.

Watching the Kardashians for three days makes me want to watch Sense and Sensibility next.

William Blake said that the road of excess leads to the palace of wisdom. This is a laudable yet failed endeavor. In America, it leads instead to the Presidency.

I’ll go with Blake. I’ve kind of seen it in my own life.

I think you should go out to the peaceful protests in person Marianne. I think a "Rubber" bullet to your eye will change your mind and the police will be happy to oblige.

You’re making an inaccurate assumption that I have not.

Sadly, decades of establishment politics didn't create an appetite for a progressive candidate. Now people are having BBQ across major cities.
