1/ We have many different problems & that’s why they seem so overwhelming. But in fact we only have one basic problem & when that gets solved then in time our problems will disappear. The problem is that we’re out of our minds, having lost conscious contact with our deep humanity

2/ It’s impossible for society to make short-term profit our organizing principle & to stay sane at the same time. An accumulation of billions of ethical compromises on the part of institutions, corporations - and every single one of us -have created the chaotic storm now upon us

3/ The bad news is how dire the situation has become. The good news is how simple the solution is, if we each have the courage to go against the tide and insist - of ourselves as well as our institutions & govt - that doing right by people must become the new bottom line. Period.
