Adam Smith, the main architect of free market capitalism, said it “cannot exist outside an ethical context.” Whether capitalism, tech, govt or something else, everything will be dangerous until we replace the question “How much $ will it make?” with “Is it the right thing to do?”

Is my/our action for the betterment of society? How can I help? Am I including all peoples? Am I listening? #moralgoverning

Attempting to fill up the hole in our Souls with large amounts of money, instead of doing the right thing and opening up our Hearts & Souls to The Inner Healing Love coming from The Source Of Our Being, will always leave us with the feeling that something is missing.

Capitalism, properly understood and adopted, is deeply moral. To understand capitalism, is to understand the metaphysics that underpins human beings' nature, and of the world. Ayn Rand wrote quite a bit on precisely this topic, check out Capitalism: The Unknown Ideal sometime.

Demanding that capitalism be ethical in the early 21st century is a bit like demanding that plantation slavery be ethical in the early 19th century. It's time to replace the system altogether.

Absolutely ... if you get the ... $$$ ... out of the equation ... you'll have a completely different question ... which means you'll get completely different answers!

I'd like to see 1 single seasoned thoroughbred capitalist looking in a mirror and asking himself that last question... sometimes such a person (thinking of Bill Gates) separates himself from part of his savings and puts it in a foundation (keeping enough for personal expenses)>>
