1/ “You don’t know what you’ve got till it’s gone.” - Joni Mitchell. Many people admit how much they took for granted, how much basic freedom they felt was guaranteed & so we didn’t have to worry about. None of us thought any one man could do so much damage in such a short time.

2/ So what’s happening is a very cautionary tale. We don’t just have to wake up in a whole new way to fight off tyrannous forces in our midst; we’ll have to stay awake if we’re to guarantee they won’t reappear. Rarely have external events caused so much internal transformation.

3/ In order for the US to survive & thrive after this awful chapter, we’re going to have to start considering citizenship a basic aspect of a meaningful & well-lived life. No more political denial or complacency, or the next time we fall down we just might not rise up.

Marianne believes POTUS is hurting the country when it was Dem policies that threw us into crisis. Trump did not bring division. Division brought Trump. If you can’t see that, you’re part of the problem.  You once said: “We decide what we are going to see before we see it.”

Please let's hold off on talk about "next time." If we don't give this time every ounce of devotion, and possibly even if we do, there is not going to be any next time. We are going down way harder and faster than anyone in a role to do something about it can see or say.

And, … realize how decrepit and vulnerable our constitution really is! I has taken only one man, with a thin majority in the Senate, to find numerous loopholes in our hallowed government big enough to drive a truck through!! He has taught us a valuable lesson.

I agree with this last statement. If more people took participating in citizenship seriously, we would have better laws and lawmakers, and there would be less blowing off about politics, because the actual WORK of politics is HARD. We would appreciate and respect it more.

These scare tactics are not working anymore. If you say: "Folks, this toxic duopoly HAS TO END, we'll unite the left THE DAY AFTER THE ELECTION, and we're going to put ALL OF OUR efforts for a progressive 3rd Party for 2024" then you have a potential to make a difference. 1/2

It's not "complacency" to be rationally disgusted by the ruling Duopoly's obviously-corrupt @debates scam, Orb Mom. It's them being rational about a blatantly-shitty "choice" and deciding not to participate in bullshit. I voted for @GovGaryJohnson but Did Not Vote is my POTUS.

Our "democracy" has been stolen by 2 criminal gangs (the Dems & the GOP) both of whom are beholden to the corporations.
