11 states don’t require 1/2 yr study in US civics, history or govt. Sheer ignorance of millions of Americans of basic tenets of US Constitution helped lead us here. If you don’t learn the Bill of Rights as a child you don’t know as an adult to be horrified when it’s under assault

How much do you consider the implied threats of extradition killing against protesters or people Trump just doesn’t like as a real threat versus just more of his bluster? Is he calling for violent Civil War?

I despise how many states teach that the cause of the Civil War was "state's rights". When education stoops down to a level as low as that, it becomes more clear than every that our whole education system needs to be restructured.

Well said. I'm afraid these people will wear masks forever if told to. Pretty horrifying.

The problem is that many of them did learn about the bill of rights. I know because i took the same classes as my classmates and yet many if them have no idea just how bad things are because they trust the likes of CNN, MSNBC, etc. Some don't question anything they're told.

It's been under assault for a long time, and not just by one party or the other.

This! 🎯 Sen. Sasse proposes abolishing the 17th Amendment and we didn’t pour into the streets...at least in his state!

Americans are indoctrinated since childhood to buy into nationalism. History about the dark side of the country should be compulsory
