The military industrial complex gets far too much of what it wants, while the people get far too little of what they need.
We've given $740,000,000,000 to the military this year but we can't get the Senate to approve more than $1,200 for people trying to survive a pandemic.

Most politicians don't really care about the military. If they truly did, they would fix the VA. They only seek to finance pet military projects in their state to satisfy donors. The F-35 is a good example, $400 billion spent on a plane we can't use
