Trump’s behavior doesn’t concern me as much as the denial & complacency of so many Americans, the “It could never happen here” crowd who apparently don’t really know what “it” *was*!

Trump is a racist, not a fascist people. A campaign manager of a candidate as bad as Biden would have to make its opponent look worse than him. Since Biden and Trump are private-interest racist, they are painting Trump as a fascist so you vote for a private-interest racist.

There’s also a good amount of naivety in believing that it would be any different with a democrat in the White House. The state terror that has been US foreign policy for a long time, will eventually become domestic, unless there’s a systemic shift.

America was helping foment fascism in Germany until it backfired. We don't have a democracy so "it cant happen here" is exactly right because the money makers don't like nationalism It doesn't serve their global interests economically.

Glad you said this Marianne because Trumps behavior, or any leader who is in power, can only reflect how the collective consciousness is thinking and behaving. They’re simply puppets to what we do or don’t put up with. We the collective have the power and are the leaders!

Honestly it's alarming, there's a cult of personality that's formed around him that I've never seen this up close and personal before. I laughed during the 2016 campaign when he said he could shoot someone and his supporters would still back him. Not laughing anymore.

It’s happening here right in front of our eyes. Fires, Blatant Racism, Pandemic and Economic Collapse. The Rs don’t want to fix what for them isn’t broken. It’s the other guy’s problem. There is your denial. Gotta vote them out and get down to fixing what is broken in November.

If the Dem leadership isn’t scared of him (they gave him a record military $$, accelerated his judges, Patriot Act) then why should I? It’s not a battle of morality or ideology, just a fight for power. Both back wars, police, could care less about a green new deal or healthcare.

There are 2 camps of MAGA. Decent ppl who are duped, asleep, in denial. And those who love the malevolence, who share Trump’s core ‘values.’ And then there are the enablers - Fox, GOP who are just cynical beyond words.

That's what pretty much everyone does about everyhting. I won't get cancer even though I smoke..."won't happen to me". The macro is the micro and the micro is the macro.
