Trump’s behavior doesn’t concern me as much as the denial & complacency of so many Americans, the “It could never happen here” crowd who apparently don’t really know what “it” *was*!

Trump is a distraction while the Rs loot the treasury. All the centrist have is outrage and their mistake was thinking we were going to fight Trump and win the election for them without M4A.

I honestly thought that way a few years ago, not possible. Now I have no doubt it could happen here.
Or were insulated from the suffering from what *was* already a reality for billions of people subjected to US policy ever since ww2, and benefit from that same status quo. Same people now clammoring for the ones it oppresses to defend it.

True. Trump's "Base" is ignorant and prefers to stay ignorant - some of them continuing to believe that the Pandemic is a "hoax" in spite of the horrifying statistics. They form the potential mob that could disrupt the USA's December.

Marianne, what is *really* scary? Tens of millions of Americans *want* it to happen here. Polling in 4 swing states (AZ, FL, NH & (I forget)): "Which is greater concern - Law & Order, or Pandemic" showed slight preference for Law & Order. youtube.com/watch?v=EmjqV0sI…

There's "Spiritual Bypassing " & there's "Reality Bypassing" and people who would welcome a facist state where violence against Americans who prefer Democracy would become the norm & there would be zero accountability for corporate & state sponsored crimes against humanity.
