I am sunk in a state of grief that does not seem to be lifting anytime soon. All the suffering and loss of people, communities, flora, and fauna. .... And for what? Wasteful meaningless materialism and profit. For shame!

nothing to do with carbon, but California's failure to prevent these fires by instituting a George W Bush like "Healthy Forests" initiative is to blame for all the soot and carbon now being spewed into the air by mother nature....and is killing animals & their habitat unhealthily

"The once-in-a-generation dry thunder and lightning storms that ushered in this year's fires offer a vivid warning for what this planet is facing— a howling harbinger of what's to come. Climate scientists warned that all of this was likely to be our new normal." #ClimateChange

Alarming how many would prefer to write this off to climate change. Little said of the poor leadership with little no preventative effort that would reduce impact of wildfires. Don’t expect much can be done now to turn the tide of ‘progressive’ mindset. They’ve dug in too deep.
