Schools being open is the equivalent of lives being saved. Closing the economy is a crime against humanity. The democrats think they are a labor party and have no idea what that means. There’s nothing more cruel than preventing people from making a living.
If we gave people #directcashrelief ($2k/mo.) in a way similar to most advanced countries, our government wouldn’t have needed to sacrifice American lives to “open the economy.” Schools being open is not as important as lives being saved.

Yes there IS something more cruel than preventing people from going to work during a pandemic: sending them to die! We bailed out major corporations when instead during this time we could be bailing out people. Staying home isn’t punishment when it’s a way to stop deadly disease.

You have no idea what a labor party should do. There’s no dichotomy between pandemic and preventing people from working: both kill people. Sweden never locked down and is free of the pandemic precisely because they are a major labor country. I’m independent.

Don’t try insulting me by degrading republicans. They are people, too, and usually act better than you.
